Joshua, affectionately known as Josh, left this world on September 16, 2025, at the age of 36, leaving behind a legacy that will be treasured by all who knew him. Born on August 28, 1989, in Connecticut, Josh’s life was a testament to his passion for nature, his strong work ethic, and the meaningful bonds he cultivated with family and community.
A true outdoorsman and skilled arborist, Josh was renowned for his expertise in tree climbing and his unwavering affection for the natural world. He found genuine joy in the simplicity of being amidst trees, wildlife, and the great outdoors. His dedication to his craft was evident in the success of Green Valley Tree LLC, a business he co-founded and operated with his wife, Arielle, for over ten years. Together, they built not only a prosperous company but also a reputation for integrity and excellence within their community. His work reflected his commitment to environmental preservation and his pride in making a positive difference through his profession.
Beyond his career, Josh was a passionate car enthusiast who loved the thrill of driving and the freedom of the open road. Whether he was tinkering with vehicles or embarking on long drives, he found joy in the mechanics and the adventure of cars. His zest for life and exploration was contagious, inspiring those around him to pursue their passions with enthusiasm.
Yet, the greatest source of joy in Josh’s life was his family. As a devoted husband to Arielle, he was a partner who shared his dreams and supported her unconditionally. His daughters, Juniper and Willow, were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. His love for his children was evident in both his actions and words, and he dedicated himself to being a caring, present, and inspiring father. His nurturing spirit and playful nature left a lasting impact on his daughters, shaping their lives in countless ways.
Josh is survived by his wife, Arielle; his daughters, Willow and Juniper; his father, John Walmsley; his brother, Christopher Walmsley; grandparents; nieces and nephews; and numerous dear friends who held him close. He was preceded in death by his mother, Kimberly Gardner Walmsley, whose memory he treasured deeply.
His legacy is one of adventure, resilience, and unconditional love. Josh’s spirit of exploration and devotion to his family will continue to inspire all who knew him. A memorial service will be held to honor his remarkable life, and loved ones are invited to come together to celebrate the extraordinary person he was.
